Pumpkin Pie with Pecan Crust and Cinnamon-Spiced Whipped Cream opens in a new tab
When I was a child, pumpkin season started in August on my Dad’s birthday when he chose a homemade pumpkin pie in place of a cake. Since then, I’ve had a thing for pumpkin. When I was older and lived in northern England, canned pumpkin purée was hard to find, so I’d bribe friends to bring it up from London to fulfill my muffin, soup and pie dreams.
