Watch how Whole Planet Foundation’s partner Grameen America puts microcredit into action right here in the United States. Grameen America, a nonprofit microfinance organization, follows the successful model of Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus’ Grameen Bank.
To date, Grameen America has reached over 8,500 low-income borrowers across New York City; Omaha, Nebraska; and Indianapolis, Indiana.
We can’t wait to watch them grow!

Feeling inspired? Us too! Get involved in Whole Planet Foundation’s 2012 Prosperity Campaign by enjoying one of hundreds of fundraising opportunities at Whole Foods Market locations in the US, UK and Canada — from wine tastings, fashion shows and silent auctions, to charity races and microbrewery events — or donate your small change for big change at store checkouts and online at wholeplanetfoundation.org.

Through March 31st, we’re trying to raise over $4 million to fund poverty alleviation projects worldwide where Whole Foods Market sources products like coffee, tea, cacao, spices, grains and tropical fruits and vegetables.
To date, Whole Planet Foundation has committed more than $26.5 million and disbursed more than $16.4 million through microfinance partners, positively impacting more than a million people worldwide. Please join the campaign and help us help a million more people to live a better life.
Thank you!
Oh, and as a special thank you, from now until March 18th, you can go to Whole Planet Foundation Facebook page for a chance to win a trip for two to India to see microcredit in action.
