Summertime is the perfect time for easy meals and snacks. A well-stocked pantry can help you feed the crew and get back to the pool, hammock or great summer book more quickly. And when that pantry is stocked with tasty options that are free of artificial preservatives, colors, flavors, sweeteners and hydrogenated fats, you’ve got it made in the shade. This basket is a collection of a few of our favorite healthy snacks and staples so that you’ll be covered when the stomachs in your house start rumbling. I keep a box of water crackers and canned sardines in stock for myself. For quick dinners, a box of farfalle pasta is a definite staple. I always have a jar of fig preserves for when my dad visits. He also reminds me, I have to stop at WF to buy him a jar of fig jam if I go visit him.

One of my favorite summertime quick meals is Tuna Macaroni Salad - just requires tuna fish, mayonnaise, onions, pasta and whatever else you like to throw in there! :)

My toddler loves any and all beans, so we stock 3-4 kinds at all times. We like to add some finely-chopped onion, tomato, EVOO, garlic, and spices. We make a lot of frozen yogurt with various berries, as well.

I like to make protein balls - combine 3 tbsp. natural peanut butter, 1 scoop vanilla protein powder, 2 tbsp. agave nectar, small handful of slivered almonds, raisins to taste. Roll into 3 balls, refrigerate to set. Goes great with any fruit!

I love quite a few things: hummus with any fresh veggies, some organic French bread with goat cheese spread and tomatoes mm, tortillas with beans, cheese, Greek yogurt, y salsa y cilantro, eggs, almonds wit strawberries in some granola cereal with milk. These are my go to foods I'm sure I'm missing some others but these are favorites.

Favorite pantry meal....Pasta! Angel hair, olive oil, parmesan...make into dinner with whatever else you have on hand. Shrimp, mushrooms and lemon....chicken and grilled veggies....steak and roasted cherry tomatoes.

I love having canned beans and lentils on hand for quick summer meals. I can make black bean salsa, hummus or falafels. I also put some in the crockpot for warmer dishes like frito pie and lentil soups and sauces.
