I love black cherries right off the tree. Why mess with perfection? But if I can't get them that way, I love making cherry danishes.

where do I start...love cherries in all kinds of recipes and salads...really enjoy cherry pie...homemade of course :) but one of my favorites, especially in the winter is a duck with cherry sauce that cooks all day and makes the house smell so good when the winter time is here. The epitome of comfort food, and living on Long Island where Peking ducks are raised what could be better.

We love to make (and eat) Cherry Pie. Other summer favorites are Cherries Jubilee and Cherry Clafouti - that is - if we can resist eating all of cherries straight out of the strainer!

One of my favorite fruits, and while it stinks that the season is so short, I'm sure it's one of the things that makes it so special.
