I love to add dried cherries to cookies and muffins. The flavor is strong enough to blend well with oatmeal. My kids add them to their ice cream as a toping.

Cherries in vanilla yogurt with granola, or just by themselves. With such good cherries here in California, fresh is best!

When I was a young girl my best friend and I started a summertime tradition. We would get on our bikes and meet halfway between our houses, going through miles of wooded trails. When we met up, we would eat a bag of cherries together. Sometimes I wonder if there is a cherry tree growing at that spot now...from all those cherry stones...

I love cherries and my favorite way of enjoying them is by going to a local farmers market and putting them in the fridge to get chilled. There is nothing better than a nice cold cherry on a summer day.

I love dried cherries in oatmeal, added to whole wheat couscous w/toasted pine nuts, and mixed w/dark chocolate and almonds. It makes a healthier version of a peanut cluster. Love fresh cherries in the summertime just by themselves too!

I always eat fresh cherries on road trips to Eastern Washington to go fly fishing with my best friend Dan! On a hot summer day there is nothing better than having the windows rolled down and spitting the pits out on the side of the road :)
