In this class, we’ll honor dads everywhere with sink-your-teeth-in recipes that will satisfy even the manliest appetite. Camille will put a plant-based spin on traditional dad favorites like hamburgers, which will be “de-in-carne-ted” as Engine 2 New York Times Burgers. This class is intended for children age 6 – 11. All participants must be accompanied by an adult.
Bring your youngsters to Camille’s honey-themed Kids Club where she’ll keep them busy as little bees with activities that celebrate our all-important pollinators. The afternoon will start with a “secret scents” game, which will challenge children to identify their partner using sense of smell alone, just the way honey bees do! Next, kids will participate in a fun and sporty game of “musical flowers.” Then, just in time for dad’s day, kids will decorate their very own Mason jars to look like honey bees and fill them with homemade, all-natural honey nut butter candy!

Honey bee and other pollinators are responsible for one out of every three bites of food we eat, yet US honey bee colonies are declining at an annual rate of 30 percent or more. Any way you look at it, that’s an unsustainable equation for a reliable food supply. To raise awareness about this phenomenon, Camille will be whipping up some delicious plant-based recipes that get their sweet flavor from this incredible natural food. We’ll start by snacking on nutrient-dense Spicy Honey Kale Chips, which we’ll chase down with a refreshing Honeydew Agua Fresca. Our main dish will be a mouthwatering Honey Mustard Crusted Tofu with Balsamic Strawberries, and we’ll finish with honey-laced blueberry “cheesecake” cups for dessert!
