Wine is good. Check. And a little intimidating? Check! Sure, it's a deep and complex subject, but unless you're a philosopher with a vineyard, wine is simply about enjoying what's in your glass. In fact, we've built our entire wine department on this philosophy.
Our wine buyers scour the world's vineyards to bring you the fruits of the most talented winemakers' labours. They're always on the lookout for sustainable vineyard practices and organic and biodynamic wines, too. We offer a selection of classic wines from the Old World as well as favourites from the New World.

Vintage charm. What is salvaged, repurposed or reclaimed in your home?
Celebrate local flavor with a cooking demonstration and talk from Chef Mary P, a butcher and chef from our meat department and a current contestant on Hell’s Kitchen! Chef Mary will prepare dishes featuring local produce, fish and meat. She will demonstrate cooking techniques and will discuss flavor and wine pairings. Be sure to catch our very own Mary Poehnelt on Hell’s Kitchen, Tuesdays on FOX. This event is not sponsored by Fox Broadcasting Co, ITV Studios or the Hell's Kitchen television series. Must be 21+ to sample wine pairings.
Fresh herbs are a fantastic way to add subtle flavor to a dish or they can be used as boldly flavored garnishes and in sauces. Since herbs are quite perishable it’s best to use them soon after purchase. When you have fresh herbs on hand, don’t be afraid to experiment and try cilantro where you usually use parsley or combine several herbs for a deeper flavor. Chef Julie, our Produce Educator, will demonstrate some appetizing ideas and recipes with fresh herbs. Reserve your place at Customer Service.
Come taste three delicious wines and an assortment of delicious appetizers from our Bakery, Prepared Foods, Seafood, Produce and Specialty departments. 100% of proceeds from this event will go directly to Ice Stars for Wounded Warriors, a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring and supporting our wounded American servicemen and servicewomen returning from combat.
