This class won't have you plugging away on a treadmill or staring at your biceps in the mirror. You won’t get yelled at for dropping your weights on the floor, and you certainly don’t have to hold back your grunts and screams – guys and girls alike. You WILL find us pushing you for that extra rep, a few extra pounds, or to go faster. You WILL find us laying on the floor, leaving sweat angels, and searching for the breath we can’t find after the workout. Then you’ll be begging to come back and do it again. Amy is a CrossFit Level 1 Instructor at Pin Up Crossfit. Growing up she participated in various sports such as gymnastics, basketball, and tennis. Amy started CrossFIt in February 2011 after being sedentary for almost 7 years. Amy says it is one the best choices she has made and CrossFit has forever changed her life. She believes the benefits of CrossFit reach beyond the obvious physical aspects and help you become mentally stronger in all facets of life. Amy is passionate and dedicated to helping others break down barriers and achieve goals.

Campers should expect a total body workout. A typical session could include interval training, sprint and agility drills, stations, plyometrics, body weight strength drills, cardio mix, and much more. Camp Gladiator is designed to increase your functional strength, speed, stamina and, most importantly, to deliver results.

You will learn the basics of waist hooping, hand hooping, and hip hooping, using an adult sized hoop. It's a full body work out that is truly fun!
Quickly approaching her 30's, Heather Says decided to take a chance and learn something new, hula hoop dance. 2-2:45 p.m. - Brazilian Capoeira for the whole family led by Sam Martinez
Capoeira is an art that develops strength, grace, and confidence. It is a unique Brazilian discipline that combines elements of self-defense, dance, music, acrobatics and technique. It is a game that requires focus, commitment, constant movement and interaction. Class consists of a quick warm up followed by a series of techniques and drills and end with a game of Capoeira.
Sam ‘Pica Pau’ Martinez began training the Martial Art of Capoeira in 1999 with Grupo Cafu Capoeira Association. He opened his own Capoeira school four years ago in South Houston where he currently teaches four days a week. Sam’s personality, enthusiasm, and big smile are contagious. 3-3:45 p.m. - Australian Football led by the Houston Australian Football Team, the Houston Lonestars
Learn about the most popular amateur and professional sport in Australia – Aussie Rules Football. Houston's local Australian Rules Football team, the Houston Lonestars, will demonstrate some of the highlights of this highly dynamic game (a cross between soccer and rugby) including ball handling skills, tackling and scoring goals!

Originating from Rugby in England in the 19th century, this amazing and physical game has expanded into Europe, America and Africa over the last 25 years and now the USA has established a competition of 40 local clubs in 30 cities across the country.
