The origins and development of South African cuisine are as diverse as the people who make up the country’s population. Known as the 'Rainbow Nation' because of its diversity of races, tribes, creeds, languages and landscape, South Africa's many nationalities and cultures are reflected in its cuisine.
Whole Foods P Street is proud to present our very first South African themed cooking class with Chef Haley Kalil!
In this class, Chef Haley will show you how to make two distinct Cape Malay classics – bobotie (what is perhaps South African's national dish) and curry butternut squash soup (a great example of merging Malay curries and local ingredients) – and healthy seed loaf packed with seeds and grains.
To register, please email tim.hayes@wholefoods.com.
