Kids Culinary Class: Veggiecation!
Thursday, September 20th
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
in our cafe at front of the store

This month, kids will learn how to prepare "Peppers Invade Chick Peas" Salad and "Celery and Apple Green Smoothie".  As practiced in participating classrooms throughout the country, kids will be invited to help prepare Veggiecation Program’s recipes, sample culinary creations, experience vegetables in their raw form and cast a vote on how they liked the recipes.  Kids will take home complimentary character coloring pages, word games, mazes and stickers.  Parents will receive a copy of recipes created that day.

Please register in advance at Customer Service or email Ridgewood.RSVP@wholefoods.com.  Age group for this program incorporates kids from Kindergarten to 6th grade.

About Veggiecation: The Veggiecation ©Program, founded by Lisa Suriano (also a native of Ridgewood!), is a nutrition education program that introduces young children to the wonderfully delicious & nutritious world of vegetables. This is done by incorporating unique & kid-friendly vegetable preparations into fun activities & exciting experiences. By replacing food fears & resistance with ownership & positive peer pressure, your children are empowered to expand their horizons while simultaneously improving their nutritional status & knowledge.
