FLIPANY Fun Run

Saturday, January 9

Whole Foods Market is a sponsor of the 4th annual Memorial Healthcare Systems FLIPANY Fun Run. Located at the boardwalk on Hollywood Beach, there will be a USATF certified 5k and 10k run.  In addition to the run the NFL Play 60 Zone will be on site from 10am to 12pm and children will be able to participate in activities and meet Miami Dolphins football players.   In addition to supplying fruit and water to the race participants and the ingredients for the pancake breakfast, Whole Foods Market will have a tent onsite where we’ll be handing out samples to attendees.  For more information or to register for the run visit www.flipany.org

Savvy Shopper Tour: Healthy Bodies, Healthy Budgets

Would you like to start the New Year eating healthier but you aren’t sure how and you aren’t sure it’s in your budget?  No matter if you’ve never shopped at Whole Foods Market or you’re here all the time – this is the tour for you.  We’ll take a tour of the store, teach you about how to locate items on sale, point out our private label products and explain what products we allow in our stores.  We’ll also sample some recipes throughout the store that you can incorporate into your new diet.  Registration for this event is required – to register please call (954) 565-5655. Wine Dinner at Himmarshee Restaurant

In 2010 Whole Foods Market Ft. Lauderdale and Himmarshee Restaurant will be hosting a themed wine dinner every fourth Monday from January to October.  Our theme for January is comfort foods and value wines.  We’ll have a 4 course meal with great comfort foods prepared by the Himmarshee chef served along with great value wines from the store.  All of the wine dinners take place at Himmarshee Restaurant in downtown Ft. NFL Alumni Caring for Kids Day

Whole Foods Market Ft. Lauderdale is a sponsor of NFL Alumni Caring For Kids Day. Taking place at Esplanade Park, Caring For Kids Day supports the American Heart Association and is a great way to run, walk or just have fun right before the Pro Bowl in Miami.  Whole Foods Market will be providing the fruit for the walk/run participants and will have a tent onsite handing out samples to attendees.  For more information or to register for the race visit www.caringforkidsday.com.
