Are you new to running and don't know how to get started? Do you want to run your first 5K but don't know how to train? Look no further, this presentation is for you! Join local running coach, Erica Sanginiti, as she teaches you “The Basics of Running - Get off the Couch and the Hit the Road.” The presentation will cover the benefits of running as well as tips on how to get started. She'll also take you through basic running form, running safety, training tips, and hydration. Healthy Eating Specialist, Julie, will also be providing nutrition tips and snacks for runners.
Erica is local a personal trainer and running coach with years of knowledge and experience to draw upon. She coached 30 people to complete the Colfax Half and Full marathon in May, many of whom had never run a race before! She herself has completed over 40 running races, including 5 full marathons and 10 half marathons. She hopes to continue this success as she helps the Whole Foods Market team prepare for the Rock and Roll Half and Full Marathon in September.
