Join us for one sweet evening at Buford Middle School!  Honeybees and other pollinators are responsible for 1 out of every 3 bites of food we eat, but honeybee colonies in the U.S. continue to decline, threatening some of our favorite crops.  Come learn why we need honeybees and what you can do to "bee" the solution! Dinner & Bee Activity Stations, 5PM: Light supper and fun stations to learn about the honeybees.  Meet Gunther Hauk, 6PM: He is co-founder of Spikenard Farm Honeybee Sanctuary and world-renowned biodynamic bee-keeper.  Gunther is also a highlighted expert from our feature film.  The Queen of the Sun Movie, 6:30PM: Taking us on a journey through the catastrophic disappearance of bees and the mysterious world of the beehive, this engaging and ultimately uplifting film weaves an unusual and dramatic story of the heartfelt struggles of beekeepers, scientists, and philosophers from around the world including Michael Pollan, Gunther Hauk, and Vandana Shiva.  **Buford Middle School: 1000 Cherry Avenue, Charlottesville**
