Banh Mi Grass-Fed Beef Burgers

Serve these burgers on crusty hunks of baguette, just like a traditional Vietnamese banh mi sandwich. For a fresh and easy condiment, toss shredded carrots, cucumbers and lettuce with rice vinegar and a pinch of sugar and pile onto the burgers.

Ingredients
- 3/4 pound 90% lean ground grass-fed beef
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Canola spray oil (optional)
Method
Combine beef, carrots, cilantro, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper in a large bowl and form into four (4-inch) patties.
Grill over medium heat or broil, flipping once, until cooked to your liking, about 6 to 8 minutes.
Or, spray a large skillet with cooking spray and cook over medium heat, 6 to 8 minutes.
Serve on baguette slices.
