Strawberry Rosé Punch
Serves 8
Time 15 min
Make punch, the retro crowd-pleaser of the cocktail world, your entertaining beverage of choice. This classic combination of strawberry and basil can easily be substituted with other fruit-herb pairings such as blackberry and thyme or rhubarb and tarragon.
Special Diets:
Ingredients
- 1 pint strawberries, hulled and diced
- 12 fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 10 cups crushed ice
- 1 (24.5-ounce) bottle blood orange or strawberry soda
- 1 (750.0-ml) bottle rosé wine, chilled
Method
Place strawberries, basil and sugar in a large punch bowl.
Using a cocktail muddler or the back of a fork, gently mash strawberries until they reach the consistency of fresh jam, creating juiciness but maintaining visible fruit pieces.
Add ice, soda and rosé to the punch bowl and stir to combine.
Serve in wine or punch glasses.
