Triple-Crème Cheese with Berries and Lavender
Serves 6
Time 30 min
Triple-crème cheese is a delightful match for summer berries tossed with honey and fragrant fresh lavender. Serve this unexpected cheese dish at spring showers and brunches.
Ingredients
- 1 (6.3-ounce) package Hervé Mons St. Nuage cheese
- 1 cup blueberries, raspberries and/or blackberries, halved if large
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon very finely chopped fresh lavender or thyme leaves
- 1 baguette, sliced, or crackers for serving
Method
Place cheese on a platter.
Cut out a small wedge, pulling it away to reveal the inside of cheese and just arrange it next to the wheel. (This just helps cheese warm up a bit faster.)
Let sit at room temperature for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, gently fold together berries, honey and lavender. Let sit for 10 minutes.
Spoon berry mixture over cheese and garnish with almonds. Serve with bread or crackers.
