Cranberry Relish with Dried Cherries

Makes about 2 cups

This brown sugar-sweetened relish makes use of both fresh and dried cranberries. It's a great accompaniment to roast turkey, sliced pork loin or grilled chicken.

Ingredients

1 cup dried cherries
12 ounces fresh cranberries
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
1 cup golden brown sugar, packed

Method

CombineĀ cherries, cranberries, cardamom, and brown sugarĀ in a bowl. Process half of mixture in processor or blender until coarsely chopped. Transfer to bowl and repeat with rest of ingredients. Refrigerate for one day before serving.
