Spaghetti with Spicy Lamb Ragoût

Serves 4

Serve this simple pasta dish with a crusty baguette and green salad. Ingredients with an asterisk (*) are available in the Whole Foods Market Family of Brands.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil*
2 to 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
1 pound ground lamb
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoons crushed red chile peppers* (optional)
1 (25-ounce) jar roasted red pepper pasta sauce*
8 ounces dried spaghetti*
Grated Parmesan cheese

Method

In a large saucepan, heat olive oil and sauté garlic until golden. Add ground lamb and crushed chile peppers. Sauté until browned. Add sauce and simmer over low heat while you cook the pasta in boiling salted water. Drain pasta and serve with sauce and Parmesan.
