COMMUNITY GIVING
Our team members and our customers are part of the Birmingham-area community and they are passionate about supporting local organizations, events and causes that are near and dear to their hearts. First off, it’s a given that we donate food to area food banks and shelters. We have food; they know how to get it to people who need it. Then several times a year, our store holds community giving days (otherwise known as “5% Days”) where five percent of that day’s net sales are donated to a local nonprofit or educational organization. Last but not least, we donate goods and services to local organizations for special events, educational programs or just general support.
5% COMMUNITY GIVING DAY
Each quarter we support a local non profit organization with a 5% day. Our team members vote on which organizations we support making it truly a day we can all stand behind! 5% day applicants should be 501(c)3 non-profit organizations. If you meet this requirement and would like to apply, please download and submit this 5% Community Giving Online Request Form. Please mail you application to the store to the attention of Laura Brooks Bright, Marketing Team Leader, or drop it off at Customer Service next time you're at the store.
DONATIONS & SPONSORSHIPS
We are happy to provide local non profit organizations with goods and services to help with events and general support needs. All requests need to be submitted 6-8 weeks in advance. They are then reviewed as soon as possible and recipients that are selected will be notified. Unfortunately, we can not honor every request and will only contact you if we can provide a donation for your organization.
