Whole Foods Market Naperville offers Hands-On Shopping for those with newly forming and special abilities—designed for anyone or any group who would like a visual, tactile tool to use and a fun way to learn while shopping!
We hope that our community’s current and future grocery shoppers, families and teachers will find this program useful.
This complimentary program helps shoppers organize their way through our aisles using our large, colorful laminated lists and attachable prompts for products and the store facility.
Choose from one of three systems to use while looking for items in the store—miniature products, picture and word cards, or word cards. When the item is found, the card or miniature product goes into a “shopping cart.” Just sign out the materials for in-store use at our Customer Service Desk
Hands-On Shopping started thanks to Tarryl, a Customer Service Team Member here at Whole Foods Market Naperville and the mother of four—two of whom have autism. Tarryl brought the idea to our Store Team Leader Joel, and our Team Members worked together to bring you these shopping tools.
Come try it out soon! This program is currently offered only at the Whole Foods Market Naperville location. You can call us ahead to reserve a list for the day and time you want to shop!
