News from our Departments
Direct from your Lynnwood store - meet team members, learn about new products and more!
Produce
January is Citrus season and we have a wonderful selection to choose from, including Stem & Leaf Satsumas, Blood Oranges, Navels, Cara Caras, Celementines, and Grapefruit. Check out the information chalks at each fruit to learn a few quick facts about each.
Meet Tove, our new Floral buyer! Tove, pronounced Toe-Va, comes to Produce from the Customer Service team. We are super jazzed to have her and look forward to raising the bar in our Floral Department.
Specialty
It's football playoff season and we're rooting for our hometown Seattle Seahawks. Having a tailgating party? Our team invites you to stop by our little corner of the world to pick up some party essentials:
-- Beer. We offer a wide selection of craft, artisan and locally produced brews. We've got you covered with some value (and tasty) options too!
-- Cheese. With over 250 cheeses from around the world, we've got something for everyone. Ask one of our Team Members for tips to please even your pickiest party guests.
-- Spirits. That's right, we sell liquor! Check out this awesome
Bloody Mary recipe
from our friends at Zig Zag Cafe.
Meet Sam, our new Beverage Buyer. He's been with Whole Foods Market Specialty for 12 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and energy to our team and customers. And Sam loves bargains! If your looking
for the best wine under $15.00, he's your guy. Stop in for a chat and ask him about some obscure wine varietals... you'll be surprised.
Cooking
Hello Lynnwood! Marja here from the Cooking Department, located inside the Bulk area near Produce. I'm the store's Cooking Coach, which means I'm here as a resource for you - to help you with recipes, cooking techniques, ingredient substitutions and so much more! Did you know I host at least 2 cooking classes every month? Each class is an intimate gathering around my Cooking Station where attendees can watch me create several recipes and of course, sample them as well. January's theme is Healthy Eating, so check out my
class schedule
and sign up today. Hope to see you around soon.
