You won’t want to miss our first Green Event in our new location in the Annapolis Towne Centre at Parole this Saturday, May 16th from 11:00am to 3:00pm.

Come by and find out how to green your diet and lifestyle.  We’ll have great foods from local farmers and local producers to sample, children’s activities, free bike tune-ups by Capital Bikes, representatives from the Annapolis Regional Transportation Management Association talking about smart transportation choices, rain barrel sales by Arlington Echo Outdoor Education ($80 per barrel, cash or check only), Subaru’s new environmentally friendly Outback, and so much more.  We’re partnering with our partners at Seventh Generation to offer a “Green Product Swap”, bring in any conventional cleaning product and we’ll trade you for a free Seventh Generation product.

Trash artist and musician Kevin Grimes will be on-site to show how he makes his found art creations, sell his amazing mobiles made from recycled materials, model his “trash suit” and share a few songs.  Musicians Gary Wright and Leah Weiss will be on hand to share their roots-Americana music.  Drawing from the traditions of Appalachian old-time and country music, their repertoire is a blend of originals, reinvented traditional songs and tunes, and innovative contemporary covers.  Driving fiddle lines and tight harmony singing are trademarks of their sound.  More information about Gary and Leah may be found at http://www.yellowcarmusic.com/garyandleah/index.html

Ten Things You’ll Love About the New Whole Foods Market Annapolis

by annapolis, April 20, 2009 | Permalink

  1. Parking is plentiful in our own parking garage under our store and access to the store is easy with an escalator, elevator and even a people mover that you can ride with your shopping cart.
  2. We’ve more than doubled in size from our store at the Annapolis Harbour Centre, but haven’t gotten so big that you will get lost in the aisles.
  3. Speaking of aisles, they are wide and long and easy to navigate.
  4. With all of our new space, we can bring in product lines we couldn’t carry before due to space constraints. So we’ll have a better selection for our customers in all departments.
  5. Our secret weapon is following us to the new store - our team members. Besides the familiar friendly faces you are used to we’re training some great new team members to serve you.
  6. Not sure about what to cook for dinner? How about grabbing something delicious from our Prepared Foods counter, expanded salad and hot bars, wood burning pizza oven, burger grill, sushi counter, crab shack or gelato station?
  7. Want a great place to sit and relax? Our new cafe with over 150 seats is just perfect for catching up with friends, a family dinner, or surfing on your laptop courtesy of free Wifi.  We’ll have talented local artists performing live every Wednesday night from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
  8. Our new state-of-the-art culinary school, The Culinary Center of Annapolis, will boast a full calendar of classes for cooks of all skill levels and ages.
  9. Is buying local important to you? Look no further than our produce area which will feature more local items than ever. But our love for local doesn’t stop in produce, more local producers will be featured in each department in the store.
  10. Love the freshest meat and seafood. We do too and that’s why you’ll love our new full service meat counter and expanded seafood offerings.
