You won’t want to miss our first Green Event in our new location in the Annapolis Towne Centre at Parole this Saturday, May 16th from 11:00am to 3:00pm.

Come by and find out how to green your diet and lifestyle.  We’ll have great foods from local farmers and local producers to sample, children’s activities, free bike tune-ups by Capital Bikes, representatives from the Annapolis Regional Transportation Management Association talking about smart transportation choices, rain barrel sales by Arlington Echo Outdoor Education ($80 per barrel, cash or check only), Subaru’s new environmentally friendly Outback, and so much more.  We’re partnering with our partners at Seventh Generation to offer a “Green Product Swap”, bring in any conventional cleaning product and we’ll trade you for a free Seventh Generation product.

Trash artist and musician Kevin Grimes will be on-site to show how he makes his found art creations, sell his amazing mobiles made from recycled materials, model his “trash suit” and share a few songs.  Musicians Gary Wright and Leah Weiss will be on hand to share their roots-Americana music.  Drawing from the traditions of Appalachian old-time and country music, their repertoire is a blend of originals, reinvented traditional songs and tunes, and innovative contemporary covers.  Driving fiddle lines and tight harmony singing are trademarks of their sound.  More information about Gary and Leah may be found at http://www.yellowcarmusic.com/garyandleah/index.html
