Floral Biz at Whole Foods Market Dublin!

Hello all,

Wanted to give an “update” of what’s new and going on as we work to grow our Dublin Whole Foods Floral business.

·         OUR WEDDING BUSINESS

o   Continues to grow.  At current rate of growth, we expect to double the number of weddings for FY09 compared to FY 08

·         OUR ARRANGEMENT BUSINESS

o   Continues to expand and flourish, with particularly strong growth in our offerings at the $39 to $100 price points.

·         PARADE OF HOMES 2009

o   We are very  excited to announce that we have been chosen to work with  Interior Designer Julie Hemlich of JC Designs on the 2009 Parade of Home entry by  Gossing Construction.   http://www.biaparade.com/homes-and-builders/gossing-construction  .   The Parade will run from July 11 thru the 26^th.  Come see our work at this year’s Parade site, Tartan Ridge in Dublin!      http://www.biaparade.com/location-and-directions

·         POSSIBLE PARTNERING WITH EVENT CATERERS

o   We are having preliminary discussions next week with a local caterer, beginning a dialogue with the goal of becoming their exclusive Event Florist. This is an exciting possibility for us, having the potential to significantly boost our gross revenue, as well as wonderful exposure for the Floral department.  Much needs to happen before the concept becomes a reality, but how exciting to be having these discussions!!

Summer’s FINALLY here, and we at Whole Foods Market are excited to unveil our Top 10 Summer Wine picks! Our buyers literally search the globe for the snazziest, zippiest, tangiest and tastiest wines they can find, and we stack them on our sales floors, sample them with our shoppers where possible, and, of course, buy them ourselves and drink them all summer long. Summer has some great excuses to drink good tasty wines: cookouts, concerts in the park, visits to the beach, sun going down, sun not going down…you get the drift here.
