Bring in Your Bags to Bring Home Your Groceries

and donate the 10 cent refund for doing this to our One Dime at a Time program!  Right now we are giving all our bag donations to the Northfield Township Food Pantry.  The Pantry has seen a huge increase in the number of families needing help in the current economic situation and every little bit, even a dime, helps!

Whe you go through the register and give your bags to the cashier to pack just mention you would like to donate the refund to the Food Pantry.  Thanks for donating AND for bringing your own bags!

Here at the Whole Foods Market, Northbrook store in the very chilly, snowy Midwest we are excited to be blogging!

We will be updating these pages regularly with our in-store events (and out of store when the weather gets warmer!), what’s in season, letting you know about our amazing local vendors and their products, store specials and some terrific recipes, tried and tested by us!

We will also be mentioning our involvement in our community, the schools and organizations that are a big part of Northbrook, Northfield, Glenview and the surrounding communities.  We will be telling you about our Community Support days that we hold every quarter when 5% of a specific day’s net sales are donated to a local non-profit organization.  The next Community Support day is on Wednesday, March 11th with 5% of the day’s net sales going to an organization that is right in our backyard, Housing Opportunity Development Corporation.  

As a nonprofit, community-based organization, HODC develops and manages affordable homes for low- and moderate-income households.  HODC also offers first-time homebuyer counseling and educational presentations on affordable housing issues. Note the date of March 11th on your calendar and come and shop at Whole Foods Market,
