- Colds rarely cause fever. Flu usually does, says the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
- Flu may also include fatigue, muscle discomfort and cough.
- The common cold is actually an upper respiratory tract infection
- Symptons include sneezing, runny and stuffy nose, sinus swelling, headache, cough, scratchy throat.
- Common colds usually last one to two weeks.
