Kick off your spring cleaning with Whole Foods Market South Loop on April 11 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.!  Bring your old bikes and electronics and learn how they can be refurbished to save money, jobs and the environment.  Trade your usual household cleaner for a more earth-friendly product.  These are a few of the exciting events taking place at the South Loop store; let Working Bikes, Digital Workforce Education Society, Blissful Homes and Whole Foods market help you clean up the ‘green’ way!

Whole Foods Market 5% Day Recipient: Graffiti Zone

Our Community 5% Days are one meaningful way we give back to our community. Once a quarter we select a 501c3 organization to be a recipient of our community support day. This quarter’s recipient is Graffiti Zone a non-profit community art studio. Its purpose is to create a safe space in which people of all ages can connect with themselves and their community through art making and arts promotion. Please join us on Wednesday, March 25 to support this wonderful organization.

Green Resolutions

Learn about different ways you can live the “Green” lifestyle.  Visit us every Wednesday in March from 6-7 p.m. to meet representatives from different organizations the Chicago area who make “Green” living a reality.  This week, Working Bikes, an organization which diverts bicycles from the waste stream in Chicago by repairing them for sale and charity will be here to share their story.

Help empower the poor through microcredit in developing communities where Whole Foods Market sources product. Microcredit is small loans - around $200 - provided to impoverished individuals who use the funds to start their own home-based businesses to lift themselves out of poverty. Sunday, March 8th Chef Stacey and Marketing Specialist, Angela will be whipping up a tasty brunch from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the Lifestyle Center. Make your way to the Customer Service Desk in the front of the store. A Whole Foods Market 365 Everyday Value item will be presented.
