This Father’s Day

by winston-salem, June 5, 2009 | Permalink

Another holiday is fast approaching. Father’s Day is Sunday, June 21st and, like many of us, you still need to find Dad a gift. So what do you get the man who means the world to you? Dress socks? A tie? Nose hair clippers…YUCK! Nothing says, “I love you” like a fresh pair of tighty whities! No, those just won’t do. For a change of pace try a delicious steak or filet of salmon instead. Another nice fit, pun intended, are the Okabashi sandals (only $12.99), which are endorsed by the American Chiropractic Association and made of 15% recyclable materials. Feeling lucky? Post a Father’s Day idea on the Whole Story blog for a chance to win a $100 Whole Foods Market Gift Card. Whatever you decide, get inspired and think outside the box.

A Sign of the Times

Welcome to the store blog for Whole Foods Market Winston-Salem! We are really excited to have this new avenue for getting the word out to everyone. Perhaps the best feature of all is we get to hear back from you, our customers.

I want to kick off our very first posting by focusing on some great improvements that we have made in the recent months. As you might be aware, at Whole Foods Market we are really big on communicating to our customers about the products and promotions in our store. There are many colorful signs placed throughout the store to educate our customers about our quality standards, local farmers, food ingredients, organic products and even sales specials; if it’s important we’ll tell you. In order to further our communication, on a much broader scale, we are sprinting to online resources. We started by updating our store web calendar and it’s only increased from there. Since January 2009 we have launched a flickr photo album, facebook group, updated our community giving and of course this blog. If you haven’t checked any of these out, then now is the time. RSS feeds are a very convenient way to keep up today with the flickr album and our web calendar because they can link with your email account. With facebook just sign up for an account (if you don’t already have one) and become a fan of our group. Happy surfing and stay tuned for our next posting!
