Community Giving
Community Giving
At Whole Foods Market, we are active participants in our community. We are extremely proud of our community involvement and the relationships that we continue to make each month! We strive to make a difference.
Our Community 5% Days are one meaningful way we give back to our community. On designated days throughout the year a total of 5% of the day’s net sales are donated to local non-profit organizations. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these 5% Days.

DONATION AND SPONSORSHIP INFORMATION
Whole Foods Markets specifically use our donation budget for Environmental Preservation, Preventive Health Care, Hunger Relief or Sustainable Food Resources.
We have a strict DONATION POLICY because we want to be fair to all the Environmental Preservation, Preventive Health Care, Hunger Relief or Sustainable Food Resources non-profits asking for assistance AND due to high standards in our accounting practices. To be considered please review the following:
- Donation requests must be submitted three months in advance of the event.
- All forms must be submitted (501-c3 letter, donation request etc…) to be considered complete.
- Due to the volume of requests, we cannot take phone calls.

All applications can be submitted to Lauren.Swern at wholefoods.com or faxed to 512-370-5802.
Community Service
It’s not rare to see a diverse group of people with Whole Foods Market t-shirts cleaning up litter from community street, helping Habitat for Humanity build houses, or planting gardens at the local non-profit school. We love being a part of our community.
