Profile: My education in nutrition began at the University of Maine where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition.  I continued my education at Bastyr University, the US’s leading university in natural health and science, earning a Master’s degree in Nutrition.  I have also attained my nutrition license through the University of New Mexico’s Dietetic Internship Program. I am a Registered Dietitian nationally and licensed in the state of New Mexico to practice nutrition.  My background includes providing nutrition education to all ages through my work with the KidsCook! Program serving Albuquerque Public Schools, the WIC Program (Women, Infant, Children), and the University of New Mexico Hospital.

This past year Whole Foods Market added a seventh core value to our mission statement: Promoting the health of our stakeholders through healthy eating education. As a result, we are taking a more active role within our community to provide education and raise awareness on healthy eating. As the new Healthy Eating Specialist at the Indian School and Academy stores, my role is to implement our Health Starts Here program aimed towards helping customers and team members take charge of their health and shop wisely.
