Established in 1990.
In 1990, Whole Foods Market Berkeley took over the property at Telegraph and Ashby formerly established by the Berkeley Coop, to continue the tradition of offering organic produce and natural foods to the Berkeley community. Our core values focus on our quality standards, team member happiness, community support and the environment, and we have a long-standing tradition of supporting local non-profits and schools with food and cash donations. In addition, we are proud to help sponsor the annual California Coastal Clean Up campaign each September in the Berkeley Marina, The Temescal Street Fair, Berkeley’s Earth Day Festival, and many other community events.
