Going Local
We’re proud to support local artisans and vendors who make up the Lower East Side and surrounding areas. In particular, we’re thrilled to be supporting neighborhood entrepreneurs, like Rick’s Picks, Mast Bros. Chocolate, McClure’s, Orwasher’s Bakery, Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream, Nunu Chocolates, and dozens of others!

Team Member Diversity
Our Team Member base represents more than 23 countries! We are proud to have staff from around the neighborhood and around the world.

Innovation
Check out Rustica Minardi, our interpretation of an Italian osteria, our Beer Room, with six beers on tap and extensive homebrew selection, the Brinery, a destination for all things pickled, Fresh & Wild salad station, and much more.

Commitment to the Community
We’re passionately committed to making a difference in the communities we serve. A percentage of our sales are used to benefit nonprofit organizations on a monthly basis. Here’s a partial list of local nonprofits that we are working with: Lower East Side Girls Club, YMCA, M’Finda Kalunga Garden, Housing Works, Dixon Place, Fourth Arts Block, University Settlement and the Grand Street Settlement.

We want to be your neighborhood store, your go-to for answers to all your culinary questions, and a place to share our passion and joy about what we find so exciting – great food.

Vendors We Love:

Orwasher’s

Manhattan

Head Baker Keith Cohen bakes the traditional breads that have made Orwasher’s a household name in New York City while adding new, artisanal European-style loaves to their repertoire.

Gotham Greens

Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Gotham Greens grows its wares on a rooftop in Greenpoint. Utilizing hydroponics and a greenhouse that is temperature-controlled, these greens aren’t causing soil erosion and can be grown year-round!

Blue Smoke

Manhattan

Sweet, salty, and spicy, Blue Smoke, the renown barbeque restaurant off Union Square,  incorporates the big bold flavors of BBQ and rolled them into a chocolate bar.

Nunu Chocolates

Brooklyn

‘ Nunu’ is a word Nunu Chocolates co-owner Justine Pringle heard a lot growing up – it’s a term of endearment for children in Africa.  She and her husband Andy started the business, “with the belief that the world is a better place when chocolate is involved”.

Ithaca Beer Company

Ithaca, NY

Ithaca Brewery is one of the few New York breweries using local grains. Found at the base of Cayuga Lake, Ithaca bills itself as the ‘Spirit of the Finger Lakes’.  Their number one-selling brew is the Apricot Wheat – perfectly tart and light enough for end-of-summer drinking.

Bronx Brewery

Bronx, New York

The Bronx Brewery is a craft beer producer and distributor based in the South Bronx. It was founded in 2009 by a small team with two things in common: a maniacal focus on creating high-quality beer and a passion for the Bronx. Its traditionally-crafted ales use only premium and minimally-processed materials to create fresh, bold beer from a borough known for its own uniquely bold character. The team is enthused to bring a rich brewing tradition back to the Bronx and craft a beer that the people of the Bronx and New York City can be proud to call their own.
