Community Giving

At Whole Foods Market, we are active participants in our community. We are extremely proud of our community involvement and the relationships that we continue to make each month! We strive to make a difference.

Our Community 5% Days are one meaningful way we give back to our community. On designated days throughout the year a total of 5% of the day’s net sales are donated to local 501(c)(3) non-profit association. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these 5% Days.

Donations and Sponsorships

Donation/Sponsorship request forms must be filled out entirely and returned to the store at least 4-6 weeks prior to the event. Please review the following criteria before submitting your request.

1. Requests by phone are not accepted.
2. Location- your organization or event must be in the Buckhead area. If you are located outside of this area please contact the store nearest you. We have 7 other locations in metro Atlanta:

1. The recipient must be a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. A copy of the 501(c)3 letter from the IRS must accompany the application. The 501(c)3 letter comes from the Treasury and is different from state forms.
2. The application must be received at least 4-6 weeks before the event or pick up date in order to be considered. All applications are reviewed on a first come- first serve basis. Because funds are limited, early submission of your application is recommended.
3. We do not donate to individuals, individuals seeking pledges, or multiple requests from the same organization. Each approved organization is restricted to one donation per year, and past support of an organization or event is not a guarantee of future support.

Although we would like to support every worthwhile cause, due to the volume of applications, it is not possible for Whole Foods Market to fulfill every request or respond to all inquiries.
