What is Farmer’s Pick?

The Whole Foods Market Ohio Farmer’s Pick is a weekly bag of fresh-picked, local produce from a varietyof farms throughout Ohio.

In addition to quality local foods, the Ohio Farmer’s Pick bag offers:

- Convenient pick-up option

- An easy way to plan weekly dinners

- Recipes to make using new/unusual produce easy

- Weekly payments

- Support of multiple local farms

- Quick and easy cancellation

Do I have to buy a bag every week?
No. Although we encourage you to order for the whole length of the season to help support the farm families that depend on consistent weekly income to pay for labor and harvest expenses, Ohio Farmer’s Pickordersare placed weekly. Your order will guarantee you will receive fruit, veggies and other local products picked fresh for you and your family when you come to pick up your bag on Saturday’s.

Is there a deadline to place my weekly Farmer’s Pick order?
Yes. Ohio Farmer’s Pick orders must be placed by end of business the Wednesday prior to Saturday pick-up date.

What’s in the Farmer’s Pick bag?
Each bag contains between six to ten varieties of freshly picked produce; although amounts of each may varyaccording to season, weather and what is being harvested on our partner farms that week.

Can I try it out for just one week?
Yes!

Why not just buy produce in the regular produce section?
We welcome all Ohio Farmer’s Pick members to shop for additional produce at our store or from farmers at local farmers markets. However, by joining our program you are guaranteed your weekly share of Ohio-grown produce staples. Some weeks you may even receive unique produce items that are not offered in our regular produce section. Additionally, you will receive recipes in your bag bag to help you plan your weekly shopping trip, as well as cooking tips and recipes for the unique ingredients included.

Is a Ohio Farmer’s Pick membership a bargain?
Depending on how much produce your family goes through, the cost of your Ohio Farmer’s Pick member-ship may actually be less expensive compared to making your normal shopping trip! Memberships are just $20 per week for a bag large enough to feed 3-4 people. We also believe that it is an incredible value when you consider the health benefits of adding to your diet plenty of produce harvested at its peak for maximum nutritional value.

What about the quality?
We believe the quality of fruit and veggies in our bags is excellent and we are very careful about how the bagsare packed to ensure you’ll be getting the best possible produce available. We will work with farmers to handselect the items each week to ensure that they are at their peak flavor and quality so you can rest assured that all items included will meet Whole Foods Market®’s strict quality guidelines.

What if I want to purchase additional items that are not in my bag?
Local produce will  be available for purchase at the Farmer’s Pick Market every Saturday, June 23 through September 29 starting at 11AM until 2PM.

Where do I pick up my Farmer’s Pick bag?
Bags will be available to pick up on Saturday’s during the weekly Farmer’s Pick Market from 11AM to 2PM, and throughout the day on Saturday’ from June 23 – September 29.

What if I can’t pick up my Farmer’s Pick bag?
If you are unable to pick up your bag by end of business on Saturday, please try to have someone pick it up for you. Because of the perishable nature of produce, bags that are not picked up by Monday mornings will be donated to a local food bank.
