At WFM Fort Lauderdale, we are active participants in our community. We are extremely proud of our Community involvement and the relationships that we continue to make each month! We strive to make a difference.

Event Donations

Whole Foods Market, Ft. Lauderdale contributes to a number of community events, fundraisers and organizations all year long through event donations of product and baskets to be auctioned off.

Effective March 1, 2011, all donation requests must be made through our online donation request form.  Any printed forms faxed, mailed or dropped off at the store after this date will not be accepted. 

To be eligible to receive a donation from our store, you must be a non-profit organization or school located within close proximity to the Fort Lauderdale store.  All requests must be submitted at least 8 weeks prior to the date of your event. There can be no exceptions to this time frame.  Please note that submission of a request does not guarantee a donation.  Due to the large number of donation requests we receive, we cannot respond to the status of your donation until the month before your event, and can only respond to those groups we are able to support. Past donations are not a guarantee of a donation.

Donate Your Dime Program

Whole Foods Market gives 10 cents per bag to customers who re-use their own shopping bags for their purchased groceries. This program reduces our impact on the environment and now supports local non-profit groups. Customers will have the choice to accept their cash refund, donate the cash back to the store’s chosen non-profit organization or to the Whole Planet Foundation.  One local non-profit will be chosen each quarter to receive the Change for Change option. 5% Days

Our Community 5% Days are one meaningful way we give back to our community. Four times a year we will donate 5% of the day’s net sales to a local non-profit organization. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these 5% Days.

To qualify for a 5% Day, your organization must be located close to our store, be a non-profit organization and also must not have participated in a 5% Day within the past 2 year.  To apply click here: FTL 5 Percent Day Application.

Note: 5% Day and Donate Your Dime Applications may still be faxed or emailed in for approval.  The online submission process only applies to event donations. 

Store Tours

Would you like to schedule a store tour for your school or group? We offer tours of our store and can focus on specific areas of study or interest. Please fill in our School Tour Request form. Tours can be scheduled Tuesday through Thursday between 10:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and last about 45 minutes.  If you have a large group or special needs please advise on your request form.
