Community Giving

General Donation Requests

At Whole Foods Market we strive to support local nonprofit organizations and causes. To be considered for a donation, please complete our Donation Request Form at least 8 weeks in advance of your desired pick-up date.  This form will request a JPG or PDF of your 501c3 IRS Determination Letter along with other pertinent information, so please have that ready. Please note that due to the volume of requests we receive, we are unable to grant every request. Once we have received your application and reviewed your request, we will only respond to the requests we can fulfill. Thank you for your understanding.

Community 5% Days

Our Community 5% Days are another meaningful way we give back to our community. Once a quarter, 5% of the day’s sales are donated to the designated local non-profit organization. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these 5% Days.

Nickels for Nonprofits

Our Nickels for Nonprofits program is yet another way to support Central Valley nonprofits! For every bag you bring in to bag your groceries, you receive a 5¢ refund as our way of saying “thank you” for recycling. You can then donate that nickel to the quarter’s designated nonprofit! Again, if you would like to recommend a nonprofit for next quarter’s Nickels for Nonprofits please suggest it on our Facebook wall.
