Community Giving and Donations

At Whole Foods Market, we are active participants in our community. We are extremely proud of our community involvement in Austin where we strive to make a difference, and continue to strengthen relationships with our neighbors each month!

Donations Requests

If you are a local, non-profit agency (501 C 3) and want to be considered, please click on the link below and complete the online form.  Due to the high volume of requests, we require a minimum 8-10 week advance notice. Please note that we may only be able to notify those organizations that we are able to donate to.

Community Giving Days

Our Community 5% Days are a meaningful way we give back to our community. On designated days throughout the year a total of 5% of the day’s net sales are donated to local non-profit organizations. Customers can help support our selected organizations just by shopping with us on these 5% Days!

Local organizations that have benefited from our 5% days include Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM), Austin Empty Bowl Project and the Capital Area Food Bank’s Kids’ Cafe, Austin Film Festival’s Young Filmmakers’ Program, Hill Country Ride for AIDS, and Marathon Kids to name but a few.

Community Service

Gateway employees have donated time and energy to many community projects like the Shoal Creek Clean-up, Race for the Cure, Habitat for Humanity, Coats for Kids, March of Dimes, and the National Wildflower Center, Hill Country Ride for Aids, Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, Family Eldercare, and many more.
