Thank you Kitsilano!  Because of you we raised $20,049.39 for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank over the Holiday season!  All four Vancouver stores raised a total of $75,000!

Thank you for your support of  The Whole Kids Foundation!  Our store raised over $6,000 for garden grants in our Kitsilano community!

Your generous donation gives kids a growing chance for a healthy future.  In partnership with FoodCorps and your support, the Whole Foods Kids Foundation Garden Grant Program’s goal is to offer 1,000 schools a $2,000 grant to create and expand school garden programs.

School Gardens are a vital educational tool.  Every seed planted sprouts a new opportunity for kids to cultivate healthy eating habits and restore the connections between food, community and the planet.

We seek out the finest natural and organic foods available, maintain the strictest quality standards in the industry, and have an unshakeable commitment to sustainable agriculture and supporting local vendors and farmers. Visitors to our West 4th Avenue store are greeted by our colourful produce department, fantastic in-house bakery and prepared foods areas, knowlegable Whole Body department and a sunny outdoor courtyard patio, great for watching the neighbourhood pass by.

We’re a mission-driven company. One of our core values that we use in everyday decisions is “caring about our communities and the environment”. Since opening our store in November 1993, we have donated over $750,000 back into the community through Food Bank donations, 5% Community Support Days and our CommUnity Chest program. As well, we discontinued using plastic bags in April 2008 and have saved approximately 150 million plastic bags company-wide from going into landfills.
