Community Giving and Tours
At Whole Foods Market Lexington, we actively participate in our local community. Extremely proud of our community involvement, we nurture the relationships we have and seek out new ones every month! We strive to make a difference in all that we do.
Whole Foods Market Lexington encourages you to “make the ask.” We provide a variety of ways to support worthy causes including:
- Nickels for Non-Profits – Every customer who checks-out with us and brings a reusable shopping bag receives either a)$0.05 back on their total OR b) a wooden nickel to donate to their favorite listed charity. At any given time, customers will find (3) different non-profit organizations participating in the Whole Foods Market Lexington Nickels for Non-Profits program.
- Donation Requests – Should you be able to provide a copy of the organizations 501(c)(3) letter, we will gladly do our best to support your cause with donations from our location
- 5% Day – Once every quarter, we allot 5% of our net sales to a non-profit organization.
We ask that all requests be submitted in full at least four weeks prior to your event date.
Please note, in order to better accommodate the growing demand for donations in our community, our donation form and process has recently changed. Click the link below to download our most up-to-date request form.

Our Community 5% Days exemplify one meaningful way Whole Foods Market Lexington gives back to the community. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these 5% Days.
Additionally, Whole Foods Market Lexington makes overstock donations almost daily. Items are picked up and delivered to various non-profits including God’s Pantry, a local food bank, and an established Lexington homeless shelter, The Hope Center.
