5% Days Make A Big Impact!

At Whole Foods Market Manhasset, we are active participants in our community. We are extremely proud of our community involvement and the relationships that we continue to make each month! We strive to make a difference.

Our Community 5% Days are one meaningful way we give back to our community. On designated days throughout the year a total of 5% of the day’s net sales are donated to local non-profit organizations. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these 5% Days.

Our most recent 5% Day was held for Coalition for Healthy School Food, a statewide nonprofit that works to improve the health and well-being of New York’s students by advocating for healthy plant-based foods, including local and organic where possible, farm to school programs, school gardens, the elimination of unhealthy competitive foods in all areas of the school (not just the cafeteria), comprehensive nutrition policy, and education to create food- and health-literate students.

If you would like to be considered for one of our 5% Days, please send a proposal and a copy of your group’s 501(c)3 form to:

You must submit this completed form with a formal letter of request and a copy of your organization’s 501(c) 3 form (from the Department of the Treasury) stating your tax-exempt status from the IRS. All donation requests must be received 45 days in advance of the date needed and must have all the appropriate forms to be considered.

  • Education on any of the above.

Because Whole Foods Market believes in being an active community member, requests from other civic and charitable groups will be considered if the organization is in the immediate vicinity of a store location and funding is available. Past support of an organization or an event is not a guarantee of future support.
