All About Milk Alternatives: Class

Thinking of decreasing dairy intake or eliminating dairy altogether?  Many people are choosing to go with non-diary alternatives these days. It’s never been easier to lighten up or go dairy-free than it is right now, and it keeps getting easier.

What about calcium?  Many of the dairy free milks are fortified with vitamins to create a nutritional provile similar to milk.  In addition, good sources of calcium include the following: green leafy veggies, legumes, beans, parsnips, rutabaga, turnips, nuts, olives and seeds.

We’ll taste some of the many milk alternatives, talk about the benefits of each and make a dairy free milk of our own.  You will also get some recipes for making some delicious dairy free items.
