Whole Foods Market Supports Our Community

Whole Foods Market is a company with a conscience – we believe passionately in supporting the communities we serve. Our 5% Days are one meaningful way we give back to our community. On designated days throughout the year, 5% of the day’s net sales is donated to local nonprofit organizations. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these designated days. Our 5% Days are planned far in advance and fall into themed categories: Farms & Harvest, Environment, Hunger & Homelessness, and Education.

Donations

We support a number of local organizations within our community. To request a donation, it is preferred that organizations use our Online Donation Application.  Donations are most often made in the form of products or gift certificates. A 501c3 IRS  Letter of Non-Profit Determination must accompany your donation request.   Completed forms must be submitted at least six weeks in advance.

Whole Foods Market has specific guidelines for organizations we are able to support through donations; specifically we support organizations whose primary mission falls into one of the following categories:

Environmental Preservation
Preventative Heath Care through Nutrition
Hunger Relief
Organic Farming/Sustainable Food Resources
Education on any of the above
