Community Giving

Whole Foods Market is a company with a conscience. We believe passionately in supporting the communities we serve. We believe companies, like individuals, must assume their share of responsibility to be active participants in our local communities.  We are product to be actively involved in our communities by:

• Donating goods and services to local organizations
• Sponsoring neighborhood events
• Providing fundraising program for community schools
• Educating adults and children with interactive tours of our store
• Hosting informative lectures and cooking classes

 5% Community Support Days- On designated days throughout the year a total of 5% of the day’s net sales are donated to local non-profit organizations. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these Community Support Days.

One Dime At A Time- provides an incentive to our customers to eliminate single-use plastic bags and develop stronger communities all at the same time. At the register, customers will have the option to receive a 10 cent per bag refund as cash back off their receipt or they can choose to donate it to that month’s selected charity organization.

Partnership Opportunities- At Whole Foods Market we strive to support local organizations and causes.  Our most common form of donation comes deals with partnership opportunities.This includes product donations and monetary support. Partnership Opportunities can be broken down into 3 categories:

       Event Assistance (single event or a series of events)

       Donations (usually product donation for charity purposes)

       Project Support (community gardens, mural production, etc)

All requests are reviewed on a monthly basis and recipients will be notified as soon as possible. Please be advised that due to the large volume of requests that we receive, we require a minimum of 6 weeks advanced notice for any donation. Unfortunately, we can not honor every request and will only contact you if we can provide a donation for your organization. If you are interesting in applying for any of  the three donation programs listed above please download our Local Partnerships Donation Packet Milwaukee and email it to kera.glass@wholefoods.com , return it to the store , or fill out our  online donation form.

Art in the Market

Every two months, Whole Foods Market features the work an artist throughout the market. We also celebrate the contribution of our selected artists’ contribution to the community with a hors d’oeuvres reception and provide the opportunity to sell their work directly to the public.

If interested in having your work displayed, please complete the Art in the Market Milwaukee form and return it to the store or email it to kera.glass@wholefoods.com.

Gallery Night and Art Auction

We are calling all artists!!  Whole Foods Market Milwaukee is looking for Artists to donate Artwork for a Gallery Night and Art Auction happening on February 23.  All Art work will be for sale with 100% of the proceeds being donated to the Whole Planet Foundation.   Pieces will be displayed in the market with the Art Auction taking place from 5-7pm on February 23 completed with a hors d’oeurves and a bubbly reception.

Store Tours

Would you like to know more about our store? We offer free tours to groups of five to twenty adults or children. Learn about natural foods, earth-friendly household products, nutritional supplements and cruelty-free bodycare. Tours last about an hour and include free samples & recipes, as well as information on organics & food irradiation, genetically-modified foods, meat & poultry standards, soy products, natural convenience foods, and healthy snack ideas.
