Community Giving
Community Giving
Whole Foods Market is a company with a conscience. We believe companies, like individuals, must assume their share of responsibility as tenants of Planet Earth. We believe passionately in supporting the Minnetonka community and are actively involved by:
- Supporting local food banks
- Sponsoring community events
- Donating goods and services to 501c3 non-profit organizations
- Educating adults and children with interactive tours of the store
Community Support Days
Our Community Support (5%) Days are one meaningful way we give back to our community. On designated days, four times each year, a total of 5% of the day’s net sales are donated to a select local 501c3 non-profit organization. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these 5% Days.
If your non-profit organization is interested in having a 5% day, please submit a completed Community Support Day Application or email susannah.brokl@wholefoods.com.
Donations
We offer various donations to 501(c)3 organizations to help their needs and goals be met. If your non-profit organization is interested in receiving a donation, please submit a completed Donation Application to susannah.brokl@wholefoods.com.
Please be advised that due to the large volume of requests that we receive, we require a minimum of 6 weeks advanced notice for any donation. Unfortunately, we cannot honor every request and will only contact you if we can provide a donation for your organization.
One Dime at a Time
Our One Dime at a Time program provides incentive to eliminate single-use plastic bags and develop stronger communities all at the same time. At the register, shoppers have the option to receive a 10 cent per bag refund as cash back off their receipt or they can choose to donate it to that month’s selected charity organization.
To be a beneficiary of our One Dime at a Time program, please submit a completed form to susannah.brokl@wholefoods.com.

To schedule your group’s tour, please e-mail susannah.brokl@wholefoods.com. We typically need 6 weeks notice before the time of your tour for scheduling purposes. The earlier you contact us, the sooner we are able to accommodate your group.
