Our 5% Day Breaks Utah Record for KPCW
We are proud to announce that we raised $3,750.39 for KPCW Radio at January’s 5% Day to kick off Sundance! KPCW broadcasted the ”This Green Earth” show live from our cafe and we discussed our Green Mission program and featured directors from different films playing at Sundance!
The best part about the funds we raised is they will go to help fund free broadcasting for local non-profits in our community.
Thank you to KPCW Radio and our community for helping us raise the most money for a 5% Day out of any of our stores in Utah ever!
We Raised $1,764.65 for our Kimball Art Center 5% Community Day
We are very proud to announce that we raised $1,764.65 for the Kimball Art Center at our last 5% Community Day in November! Check out our 5% Day video “Park City Then & Now” on YouTube!
We had a fantastic Art Opening featuring the artists of the Young Artists Academy and their project “Park City Then and Now“ which is on display in our cafe, and were featured in the Park Record.
If you missed it, don’t fret! The amazing art will be on display through January 2010, and we will launch a new project from Kimball Art Center in February! Plus you can visit the Kimball Art Center for more amazing art displays.
Our next 5% Community Day will be held on Thursday, January 21, and will benefit local favorite KPCW Radio! We will be broadcasting a show live from our store encouraging the community to help us raise as much as possible for our friends at KPCW!

Together we raised $2,269.02 for Friends of Animals (FOA) during our Community 5% Day on Tuesday, July 21!
We also held an Adopt-A-Thon outside our store where FOA featured some of the lovable puppies and dogs available for adoption at Furburbia!
Our customers had fun visiting with the dogs, learning about FOA, and one generous customer donated $100 to FOA on the spot, thanking them for the valuable work they do in our community!
We couldn’t agree more, and we will be presenting our Community 5% Day check at their Barking Ball Fundraiser on Saturday, August 15!

Who is Friends of Animals?
FOA plays a vital role in our community as they strive “to protect and provide for animals while fostering an awareness of their importance in our lives.”
They run a top notch adoption center called Furburbia and run a vital Spay & Neuter Program which offers low and even no-cost services in our community.
Sadly, over 5 million healthy cats and dogs are euthanized a year due to nothing more then lack of a good home. FOA works tirelessly to decrease this number through their work to promote and provide spay and neuter services and prevent unwanted litters.
Their Spay & Neuter Program is in major need of funding this year and none of it is possible without your support. Our 5% Community Giving Day will go towards reaching FOA’s goal of raising $150,000 to help pay medical equipment and supplies that can provide lifesaving treatment, spay and neuter surgeries, and therapy to heal neglected and abused animals.
