Community Giving
At Whole Foods Market, we are active participants in our community. We are extremely proud of our community involvement and the relationships that we continue to make each month! We strive to make a difference.

5 % DAYS
Our Community 5% Days are one meaningful way we give back to our community. On designated days throughout the year a total of 5% of the day’s net sales are donated to local non-profit organizations. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these 5% Days.

NICKELS FOR NON-PROFIT
A nickel can go a long way! Whole Foods Market gives customers a 5-cent credit for reusing their own shopping bags everyday.
Did you know that we have a program where customers can donate that credit to local nonprofit organizations? If you are a customer who reuses bags to save paper, consider giving your credit to one of three local charities that have a box at our customer service desk. If you are non-profit organization, you can apply to be considered for the program. To apply, send a request on company letterhead with supporting materials that describe your group to the Marketing and Community Relations Team Leader at your local store. Be sure to include your non-profit tax-ID#, as we cannot proceed without it.
