At Whole Foods Market, we are active participants in our community. We are extremely proud of our community involvement and the relationships that we continue to make each month! We strive to make a difference and below are some of our programs:
General Donations Requests:
Each Whole Foods Market store has a monthly budget designated for a donation of food or funds to local not-for-profit organizations. Donation requests must be received at least 90 days notice prior to the date of the event for consideration. If you have missed the deadline, please consider us for future donations.
Scrip Program:
Got kids in school? Tell your school about the new Scrip program available through Whole Foods Market in Northern California. It’s an easy way for schools to raise money – schools simply buy gifts cards at a reduced rate from Whole Foods (4% discount!)……… and then sell them to parents. Our scrip is available in gift cards in either $50 denominations or $100 denominations. For more details, school administrators can call their nearest Whole Foods and talk to the marketing team leader. Applications are available at Customer Service. Questions? Email jill.miller@wholefoods.com
Our Community 5% Days :
On designated days throughout the year a total of 5% of the day’s net sales are donated to local non-profit organizations. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these 5% Days. Our next community support day, where 5% of the day’s sales will go to one organization, is scheduled for December 2009 Learn more about more organizations we support.
