  Our Hillcrest store is just  north of downtown in the captivating Southern California city of San Diego. Opened in 1997 as the area’s second store, Hillcrest serves a hip, diverse local community, as well as outlying coastal and inland areas, even extending across the border.

The store features the freshest sustainable seafood, compassionately raised organic meat and fowl, a sushi and Asian wok station,  in house prepared foods of every type including stone oven pizzas and impeccable catering services, and much more. A major focus on sourcing product from local vendors and growers distinguishes Hillcrest as a leader in bringing the freshest and finest produce and food items to Whole Foods Market shoppers.

Here’s the chance to get a first-hand look at where and how our local beef is raised. Join us to visit Medenhall Ranch at Palomar Mountain. The day tour includes bus transporation to and from WFM Hillcrest, snacks, beverages, guided ranch tour and BBQ lunch. $25 adults, children 8-15 $15.
