Thank you for your interest in Whole Foods Market Community Giving. We are committed to supporting the Santa Fe community as well as national organizations and organizations that are important to our customers. At Whole Foods Market, we are active participants in our community through giving and partnerships with organizations that match our core values. We are extremely proud of our community involvement and the relationships that we continue to make each month! We strive to make a difference.
Donations
For most organizations a smaller donation request based on a specific event is a more likely to be approved and offers considerable value to the organization.
- Whole Foods Market donates to a specific event that the organization plans.
- We prefer to donate product or gift cards and rarely donate cash. The majority of our products will be our private label products.
- All applications must be received in writing at least 4 weeks prior to event.
- Phone inquires are discouraged and will be directed to apply in writing.
- Rarely do we give large contributions to any one organization, allowing us to donate to a wider range and greater number of non-profits.

Bag Refund Donation
This program is exclusive to our stores in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Kansas and was specifically created to assist our local schools! At checkout, if customers bring in their own bags, they can either take 10 cents off their bill or donate 10 cents to a local school. This is an excellent opportunity for a school to partner with Whole Foods Market to raise money for environmental education programs within the school. Community 5% Days 
Our Community 5% Days are another meaningful way we give back to our community. Whole Foods Market created 5% Days to give back to our local communities by providing support to nonprofit organizations whose programs directly benefit the communities surrounding our stores. 5% Days are held quarterly in each store. On this special day, selected organizations receive 5% of a store’s total pretax sales for that day. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these 5% Days.
