Community Giving
Whole Foods Market is a company with a conscience. We believe passionately in supporting the communities we serve. We believe companies, like individuals, must assume their share of responsibility as tenants of Planet Earth. On a local basis, we are actively involved in our community by:
- Supporting local food banks
- Sponsoring neighborhood events
- Donating goods and services to 501(c)3 not-for-profit organizations
- Educating adults and kids with interactive tours of our stores
- Offering informative classes
Community Support Day
Whole Foods Market strongly believes in supporting the community. Once per quarter, we sponsor a non-profit organization as our Community Support Day beneficiary. On the designated day, this organization receives 5% of the days net sales from Whole Foods Market Sauganash. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to team up with organizations to help them achieve their fund-raising goals!
Organizations that have benefited from 5% days include:
- Albany Park Community Center Food Pantry
- Beaubien School
- Edgebrook School Foundation
- Goldie’s Place-A Support Center for the Homeless
- Independence Park Bungalow Renovation Project
- Sauganash Elementary School
- Sauganash Neighbors for a New Park
- Sustain and familyfarmed.org
- Turning Point Behavioral Health Care Center
- StoryBus
